I founded Irving Street Projects (ISP) to provide meaningful project development opportunities to fellow Bay Area artists, emphasizing the work of women and female-identifying artists. Over five years (2015-2020) ISP supported 14 long-term artist residencies.

Located in the Outer Sunset district of San Francisco close to Ocean Beach, projects were on view through our large storefront windows and ISP hosted events, workshops, artist talks, and other public programming. Resident artists used the storefront space for a period of months to explore new directions in their practice, present new work and engage with the community.

Projects that originated at ISP have been exhibited at The Oakland Museum of California, The Contemporary Jewish Museum, The Museum of Capitalism, ProArts Oakland, San Francisco State University, Chico State University, the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston and The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMoMA). Over its five year run, ISP was awarded funding from arts organizations including Southern Exposure, Intersection for the Arts, The Zellerbach Family Foundation, and the San Francisco Arts Commission.
